How to clean MacBook junk files and make more hard disk space
After the MacBook has been used for a long time, it will find that the already wealthy hard drives are getting smaller, especially now the MacBook uses a small SSD. In this case, how do you clean up your MacBook junk file to make sure the MacBook has enough space to do something else?
Method/Step
- 1
First, open the user's repository, as most of the junk files are in the repository
- 2
If you're an iOS developer, you need to be aware of the two-word directory under developer in the repository directory
- 3
Delete files from the ~/repository/developer/xcode/deriveddata/directory
The content in this directory is the middleware generated by Xcode during the compilation process, and the files are particularly large and can be deleted after compilation is complete.
- 4
Delete files from the ~/repository/developer/coresimulator/devices/directory
The content in this directory is the data of the emulator generated by Xcode when it is debugged, and can be deleted if the emulator is no longer in use
