How to convert photoshop to PDF and PDF pre-check

I found that many of my friends are confused about how PS is correctly extracted into PDF, and I don't even know how to pre-check PDF in Acrobat. Instead, I just blindly discuss, study software and plug-ins, I personally think this is a superficial phenomenon! It is true that the software is familiar with the premise that plug-ins can enhance functions. The strength of Acrobat is reflected in its rich plug-ins.

I found that many of my friends are confused about how PS is correctly extracted into PDF, and I don't even know how to pre-check PDF in Acrobat. Instead, I just blindly discuss, study software and plug-ins, I personally think this is a superficial phenomenon!
It is true that the software is familiar with the premise that the plug-in can enhance functions. The strength of Acrobat is reflected in its rich plug-ins, but its most basic functions have been forgotten! The purpose of using the PDF format is to break away from the uncheckable PS (some procedures have checked the PS module), unforeseen, and extremely large file sizes! PDF files are very small, so you can't even trust your eyes. But this is exactly one of its advantages-it is easy to transmit, carry, and output!
The other advantages of PDF files are not listed in detail. We only need to know one thing: Can the printed PS be correctly displayed on the screen to facilitate front-end check? Problem found above? PDF is acceptable!
How can I convert PS to PDF? There are many methods, but most of them are not what the average person can afford. Our simplest way is to use Distiller in Acrobat! It's not just about converting it with Distiller. We set our own work requirements. This is one of my theme goals!
Well, I used the built-in Dstiller in Acrobat 7.0 PRO to describe how I work. If there are any mistakes, please correct them!

1. Distiller's preferences
When we start Distiller and set the preference, this screen is displayed:
In this screen, there is a start warning. If you see this warning clearly, you will not mention it. There are three settings in the output options, ask where the converted PDF file exists, whether to replace the PDF file with the same name, and whether to enable Acrobat immediately after extraction. You can set it based on your preferences!
If you do not want too many files to occupy your disk, log files are usually deleted!

2. Distiller font position

In the "Settings" column, click it and we can see that the first one is the font Position Setting. Here we can add commonly used font paths to facilitate Distiller's searching and matching, instructions can be added!

3. Monitoring folders

The second item in the setting column is the setting of the monitoring folder, that is, the hot package! You can define the location of the hot package and add the path! Start Distiller and print and add PS files to one of the "In" file packages. Distiller automatically transfers the generated PDF file to the "OUT" file package!
If you do not want to retain the original PS file, select "delete output file". If you want to keep the PS file, you can leave it In the "In" folder or move it to the "OUT" folder!

4. Edit PDF settings

To understand the editing of Distiller, we must first understand several working modes of Distiller: a. Standard mode (3); B. Standard; c. High quality printing; d. Print Quality; e. Minimum File Size
Among them, I don't want anything, I need to customize my own! These are of some significance. As long as you know that I want to print, you can edit your work environment through the setting of "Printing Quality". For example, you can use "High Quality Printing" for editing; if you want to display better information on the screen, select "standard". If you want to send emails, select "Minimum File Size". If you want to add a PDF/X standard, then you choose "PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-1a" (the head will be bigger !)
After selecting our own goals, we can set up our work environment! In the next step, I will use "Print Quality" to set an "OUTPUT" work requirement!

Step 1: Set

In this figure, the compatibility must be selected! 4.1.1.3 or 1.4 is your choice. 1.3 is the most mature, but does not support transparency (Other). 1.4 supports transparency and maturity (the best choice, you don't need to choose, 1.5/1.6 or other features are not much added, more immature, or even your RIP will not support, less than 1.3, don't say it! This column is based on the default settings! The default paper size can be changed to common ones!

Step 2: Image settings

This is where the authorities are most controversial! I just want to give a theoretical explanation based on my settings. If you have different opinions, you can provide them with freedom of speech! As far as my settings are concerned, my CTP workflow has not encountered any problems! Okay. Let's take a closer look!
In the sampling phase, I have no reason to change or not use the "dual cube to reduce pixel sampling", so I use it! The default pixel is 300. I will change it to 350 or 400.
There are four types of compression: a, off, no compression; B, ZIP, lossy compression; c, Jpeg compression; d, automatic (Jpeg) compression. I want to extract it into PDF so that I don't compress it. It's impossible. If I use ZIP compression, the file is too large to satisfy me, it is better to use the EPS file directly. If the two methods are the same, I have no reason not to choose Automatic! This is a common setting. If there are high requirements, you may need to consider ZIP compression!
Image quality. You don't need to think about it. It's a strange thing if you don't select the highest one!
For the monochrome image column, the only suggestion is to change the resolution, and the rest -- do not change!

Step 3: Download the font

We should embed all fonts! As for subset-based embedding, I will not select it because it is fully embedded! When the embedding fails, it is impossible to continue, so it is "warning and continue "! As for whether it is always embedded or never embedded, I am not embedded according to your preferences!

Step 4: color settings

To be honest, I don't want to set it here! I want to turn it off and process it at the backend! After color management is loaded, the simulated paper whitelist may appear in the PDF file, which is awkward! If I do not set it, the meaning of color management is lost here, so I do not like color management here!

The following is a simple example: you can set a file box to customize or call a storage. For example, your company's own storage is preset!
The color management solution enables you to convert files into that mode. I want to perform color separation, so it must be CMYK. In most words, SRGB is not necessarily correct!

The document rendering scheme refers to four rendering modes. I have my own ICC and want to see what I get, so I chose "absolute colorimetric". If you do not have one, at least you have to select "relative colorimetric "! If you cannot understand it, you can refer to the relevant materials. There is a digital proofing area!
Step 5: Advanced Settings

Haha, this conversation involves a little deeper! To understand the meaning of each option, we recommend that you read a book. Here, I will only make an illustration of my settings. If you cannot understand it, refer to my settings! One thing to note is "Keep OPI comments". Do not select this option. If you have a fixed OPI link folder, consider it!

Step 6: Standards

If you want to use the standard, you need to set all the settings in it. In the domestic environment, do you choose the standard!
Some Basic settings of Distiller during PS-to-PDF conversion! Let's talk about a powerful pre-check function in Acrobat! To be honest, I think it seems a bit wrong to post this article in the output area. It should be placed in the PDF area! But at present, our output is basically dominated by PS. In order to change this view within the minimum range, it will be placed in this area. After all, PDF and output are inseparable!

There are several types of output accepted files. The accepted formats may vary depending on the process! However, all three formats are supported: PS, EPS, and PDF! We will not talk about anything else, but about PDF. Whether the file you accept is suitable for output is very special! How to detect it cannot be seen by the eyes! Fortunately, Acrobat provides us with support. It has a pre-check function, which is a kind of baby! Through its detection, we can see whether the file can be output in front of it, avoiding a lot of detours. Let's talk about it now!

Step 1: pre-press Check Start and options

Here we only need to know about it. Our goal is to create our own pre-press check requirements!

Step 2: create pre-check options

In the displayed dialog box, press "+" to create a new pre-check setting, and then add the option step by step!
We can see that the default options include documents, pages, images, colors, fonts, rendering, PDF/X specifications, conversion to PDF/X, custom check, and summary. You can use these options to define a detection execution file that meets your needs!
Documentation:
Our requirement for PDF is at least 1.3. There is no doubt! If there is something wrong, it should give me a prompt, so I chose a warning! It is unacceptable for document encryption and document corruption. Therefore, it should be a "error" prompt!

Page:
For the page, if the size is different, I should be prompted! Of course, its direction can be ignored! For the entire article, if the page direction is inconsistent, I must know, so it is also a warning, the number of pages, I do not ask, so it is "not active ";
If you have blank pages, you should also have an understanding. Please have a prompt!

Image:
You can understand this dialog box without saying it! If the image contains an OPI link, an error is returned when setting it in my workflow because I do not use the OPI link!

Color:
For CMY imaging PDF, I chose to report an error. I hope to find out why K does not exist. For special colors, I need a prompt. My RIP supports color management, so in RGB mode, I made it inactive. When there is a color irrelevant to the device, I chose a prompt! I will not consider the special color options below

Font:
Here I chose a prompt, because we can convert the font to a curve in other ways, so just tell me that the font exists!

Rendering:
Here, I set a warning. When you encounter these warnings, you should be careful, but it is not necessarily wrong. When the line is smaller than a certain value, I will set an error!

Specifications
Generally, I do not set a specification. I only need to ensure that my documents are correct. I will not ask the specification because it has strict requirements and does not meet many requirements! What I want to say is, don't think I will not set standards!

Custom check
This is one of the core components of the settings. You can use the Add function to add some settings to your work settings! Please note that your software may not allow you to save it, which does not mean that your settings are wrong!

Our settings
This is our setting. Oh, it is not necessarily suitable for you, so I have hidden it in half!
Store your settings and use them as your preferred configuration. You can use the execution function to check your PDF. This will be an unexpected result!

Run
Check is performed on the left side, and the result is the execution result. You can use the snapshot to display the problematic items for your convenience! Then, save the file and output it!
