How to create a text table

A text table is a special processing mode designed by SAP to adapt to multi-language support. It is associated with the primary table through a foreign key relationship, and has one more language indicator field than the primary table as the primary key, its text field can be used to describe the same primary key in multiple languages in the master table.

The following is a simple example to illustrate how to create a text table. Corresponding to our most common companiesCodeIn table t001 and SAP, a text table is designed with t001t according to the text table rules. However, if we do not want to use this table, if you want to use a text table to specify company names in multiple languages for your company code, you can design a text table by yourself.

Step 1: Use the transaction code SE11 to create a table named zt001t. The specified fields are as follows:
Mandt clnt 3 0 Client
Spras Lang 1 0 language code
Bukrs char 4 0 company code
Name1 name1 char 30 0 name

Step 2: Go to the entry help/check tab and specify the Foreign keys of spras and bukrs, as shown below:
Spras Lang t002 use the checklist to implement input help h_t002 spras
Bukrs char t001 use checklist to implement input help c_t001 bukrs
Note that when specifying the foreign key of the bukrs, You need to select the following options (Note: select the single option in the red box ):

Next, set the technical attribute of the zt001t table and activate it.

Later, use SE11 to open t001, and click "go to-text table" in the menu to jump to the zt001t text table.
