How to decompress Or package files in linux and decompress files in linux

Use the tar command to compress or decompress the package. Format: tar [Option] [file]

Package and compress the file: tar-czvf compressed package name .tar.gz

Decompress and expand the compressed package: tar-xzvf compressed package name .tar.gz

 

Parameters

-C: Create a compressed file;-x: uncompress the file;-t: check which files are compressed in the package;-z: Decompress or compress the file with Gzip;-j: Decompress or compress the file with bzip2; -v indicates the compression or decompression process;-f indicates the target part name;-p retains the original permissions and attributes;-P uses the absolute path to compress;-C specifies the directory to be decompressed;
