How to Establish a VPN connection in Windows XP

1. Open the control panel, find the network connection icon, and double-click to open the network connection (for example );

2. Click "Create a new connection" in the left column, as shown in the dialog box;

 

3. Click Next and select the second "network connected to my workplace ";

 

4. Click Next and select "Virtual Private Network Connection ";

 

5. Click Next and enter a character under the company name to name the created connection;

 

6. Click Next and enter vpn.jxufe.cn (vpn.jxufe.edu.cn) or vpn2.jxufe.cn (vpn2.jxufe.cn) in the host name or IP address bar)

 

7. Click Next to complete the new connection. In the displayed dialog box, enter the VPN account you applied for in the user name column (this is the one-card account here), and enter the VPN password (not the one-card password) You entered when applying for the VPN account ); choose whether to save the user name and password as needed.
