For more perfect results, inserting a SWF format animation in PowerPoint via Shockwave Flash object controls is commonplace. However, in many cases, the presentation document also requires video to assist, and here are two ways to insert video into PowerPoint 2007.
Direct Insertion Method
This is the easiest way. The video inserted in this method shows only the video screen in the demo interface, and is very similar to inserting a picture. It can be said that this is a seamless insert, the effect is quite good, but at the same time the limitations are very large. First of all, this method only supports inserting the Windows Media Format video such as AVI, MPEG and WMV, and other formats like RMVB are not supported, but regrettable. Second, the use of this method to insert the video, the demo can only achieve pause and playback control, if you want to freely choose playback time can be powerless, and once you switch to another slide, and then switch back, the video will automatically stay in the beginning part, greatly inconvenient.
Method: In PowerPoint 2007, click the Insert tab, click Movie in movie/file, open the Insert Movie dialog box, select the movie file, click OK, insert the first frame of the movie to appear on the slide, select the video, and you can zoom in on the playback screen size freely. PowerPoint 2007 provides two ways to play, one is to play automatically when the show, one is to play when the show, choose which one to see your needs.
Windows Media Player Control method
If you want to freely control the playback progress of the video, you can use the Windows Media Player control method, the slide will appear in the Windows Media Player's easy to play interface, using the player's control bar, free control of the video progress, the size of the sound. Double-clicking also automatically switches to full screen playback and is no different from watching movies with Windows Media player.
First step: Turn on the control function. The default PowerPoint 2007 control functionality is in a stored state, so before you can use this method, you need to turn on the control function first. In the PowerPoint 2007 Midpoint Office Button, select PowerPoint Options, open the PowerPoint Options Settings box, check the "Show the Development Tools tab in the Ribbon" in the "Common" item, click OK, and return to PowerPoint 2007 editing interface, the Ribbon has a new tab, that is, "development tools."
Step two: Insert the video. Click to activate the Developer tab, point to other controls in the control item, pop Up a dialog box, select Windows Media Player, click OK, change the mouse to "+", drag, then the Windows Media Player playback interface appears on the slide, select, Right click, select "Properties", pop-up dialog box, in the "URL" entry of the video file path and full name (if the video file and slide file in the same folder, you do not need to enter the path). Close the Properties box and set the success.
Tip: After inserting a video in RMVB format, you will find that it is not open, because Windows Media Player does not support this format, this problem can be solved by installing the ffdshow decoder, after installing the decoder, you can embed the video in FLV format.
