How to install Android SDK and Eclipse plug-in

Required development environment:

JDK 5 or JDK 6 (only JRE is adequate)

Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo)

Download the Eclipse plug-in of ADT

Install the Eclipse plug-in (ADT)

Start eclipse, select help> install new software, click Add in the displayed dialog box, enter "ADT" in the name column of the dialog box, and then click archive ..., browse and select the compressed files of the downloaded ADT plug-in.

Click OK .. Return to the available software view. You will see this plug-in. Then, select Developer Tools ("androiddeveloper Tools" and "androideditors" will be selected), click Next, and restart eclipse.

Download androidsdk:

After downloading sdk, decompress the. ZIP file to a proper location on your computer. Start eclipse, select window-> preferences, click android on the left side of the open view, and select the androidsdk location in the SDK location on the right.
