How to install Windows Phone Developer Tools on Windows XP

To develop Windows Embedded ce 6ProgramTherefore, an xp pc is retained, but the official Windows Phone developer tools does not support Windows XP. On the Internet, I found a method to save the country by curve, install Windows Phone Developer Tools on XP.
The method is as follows:
1. Download the Windows Phone Developer Tools RTM
2. Extract the contents of the setup package by running vm_web.exe/X and choosing a path to extract
3. Go to the folder you extracted to in step 2 and open the file baseline. dat in Notepad
4. Look for the section named [gencomp7788]
5. Change the value installonlhs from 1 to 0
6. Change the value installonwinxp from 1 to 0
7. Save and close baseline. dat
8. Run setup.exe/Web from the folder you extracted to in step 2

Note: If Windows 7 and Vista are not used, install the corresponding version of SP for the relevant system.

The test found that the emulator encountered an error while running, and other tools had no problems. I think it should be caused by DirectX and wddm. Check again. After all, these tools are not officially supported and are at risk when used.
