How to install IE browser under Redhat linux system

First to install wine

Yum instal wine (this depends on your system for different commands).

Download Cabexetract to http://www.cabextract.org.uk/

Recommended to download the RPM format, or you can install the other formats

Command-Line Input

Rpm-ivh "~./cabexetract.rpm"

Replace ~./cabexetract.rpm with your cabexetract.rpm path.

Download Run Ie4linux

Input under Console

wget http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/downloads/ies4linux-latest.tar.gz tar zxvf ies4linux-latest.tar.gz CD ies4linux-*./ies4linux

When we get here, it's recommended to hit N twice, without installing ie5.5 and ie5.01.

IE 6 would be installed automatically.

IEs can be installed using one of the following locales:

The Default is. Hit Enter to keep it or choose a different one:

This defaults to install the Chinese version of IE 6.0

The bottom one, hit Y.

Then the script will be downloaded to the Microsoft website and installed IE (this process depends on the speed, the speed is too slow, it may take a lot of time).

If you have the latest version of Chinese IE6, you can also unzip it and put it in

~/.ies4linux/downloads/ie6/cn

Directory, you will save download time.
