How to partition the hard disk under the Win7 system

New buy back a computer pre-installed Win7 system, found that the hard drive only C disk a partition, so it is too inconvenient to use, need to repartition the hard disk to do. Click the Start button, right-click the Computer option on the Start menu, and choose Manage from the pop-up menu.

If the current user is using a standard account, the user is required to enter the administrator account credentials.

In the Computer Management window that pops up, expand the save item in the left navigation bar, and click the Disk Management option to load the Disk Management tool in the right-hand pane.

Hard Drive Management

Click unallocated space in Disk 0 (if the second hard drive is disk 1, and so on), and right-click the new simple volume, and the New Simple Volume wizard dialog box appears as shown in the following illustration.

In the new Simple Volume Wizard welcome interface Click Next to display a page that sets the size of the partition, as shown in the following illustration.

Windows allows users to create partitions with a minimum space of 8MB and no upper space (if sufficient space is available), where the unit is megabytes (MB), and the user can allocate it based on the allocated space and individual needs of the disk.

After you set the partition size, click Next to display the assigned drive letter and Path page, and the user needs to set a letter or path.
