How to reduce the size of executable files after compilation

 

Cflags + =-ffunction-sections-fdata-Sections
Ldflags + =-wl,-map = object. Map, -- cref, -- GC-Section

If found overlap error, add one line in link script:

. Text {

* (. Text .*)
}

By adding the cflags option, each function is placed in a separate section, and unused functions are automatically removed during the link. To reduce the size of executable files.

-Wl,-map = object. MAP: outputs a map file of the executable file. You can view the memory address of each function.

Note: When this option is used, the global variable is not automatically set to 0.
