I. Before the start

Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 have the same requirements as Windows 8. If your computer is running Windows 8 (or Windows RT), you can get free updates to Windows 8.1 (or Windows RT 8.1) in most cases.

3. Lenovo's random software on the computer may not work properly.

4. After the update is complete, you may need to reinstall some device drivers.

If you leave your computer before the restart is ready, be sure to save your work and close any desktop applications in use to ensure that no content is lost when the computer is automatically restarted. Depending on your computer settings and whether other updates are required, you may need to restart your computer multiple times.
