In the dictionary, we like to install a variety of different types of dictionaries, but check the word in the navigation bar one by one click Dictionary name to switch seems a bit troublesome. Of course there are small tips for the keyboard party:
1, Command + number keys to switch the corresponding dictionary order of the Navigation bar
2, 0 is the starting number, that is, cmd + 0 switch to the "all" dictionary results
Screen pick Words
One of the key concerns for a computer dictionary is its screen-taking function, and of course OS X's own dictionary can do this handy function:
1, the mouse point to the object to take the word, while holding down CONTROL + Command + D
2, after the word release three shortcut keys, the word panel will always be displayed on the screen until the focus is lost
3. Just loosen the D key and move the mouse to other objects, you will find that the word palette will be translated instantly
Note that this screen-taking feature is only suitable for applications developed by the cocoa framework (such as Safari, IWork, Mail, and so on).
Spotlight translation
Dictionary applications are also integrated into the Spotlight function. Enter the word you want to search for in Spotlight, and the translation results will appear in the "Definition (defenition)" line, and the mouse will be able to display detailed translations.
