How to use the router community to share the Internet

First, hardware installation

1. Disconnect all devices from power, including computers, monitors, modems, and routers, when you first build your home network.

2. Connect the network cable to the network card of each computer in the LAN, while the other end of the network cable is connected to the LAN port in the back panel of the router.

The tl-r410 router has a total of 4 ports available to clients, and computers in this local area network can access these ports arbitrarily, without order requirements. There is also a uplink mouth, for cascade use, generally do not insert this port.

3. Connect the cell broadband network cable with the WAN port behind the router.

4. Connect the power to the power port behind the router.

After the hardware is fully installed and confirmed, turn the power on and start the computer.

Second, configure the broadband router

1. Before configuring the broadband router, be sure to know the relevant parameters to the technician, because the broadband router provides 3 kinds of Internet configuration modes, namely static IP, dynamic IP and PPPoE method. If you are using cell broadband then choose static IP mode, and set the following parameters: Static IP address, subnet mask, gateway, preferred DNS server and standby DNS server, if it is ADSL need to select the PPPoE method, and remember your username and password.

2. Double-click the IE icon on the desktop and enter http://192.168.1.1 back in the address bar. This address is the broadband router IP address, each access to the broadband router will need to enter this connection.

Different brands of broadband router settings are different, in the configuration of the router must read the specifications of the model, in strict accordance with the instructions introduced by the method to set. tl-r410 Router's factory default setting information is, IP address: 192.168.1.1; subnet mask 255.255.255.0; username/password: admin/admin.

3. After the username and Password dialog box appears, enter two admin in the dialog box and click OK (Figure 2).

Small Tips

If the IP address of your network card is not in the same network segment as the router, please set it to the same network segment, otherwise you will not be able to access and set the router: select "start → set → network and dial-up connections", right-click the network card, choose Properties, and then select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" in the open window. Click the Properties button at the bottom of the window, select "Use the following IP address" in the open window, and then fill in the IP address and subnet mask, such as 192.168.1.2, 255.255.255.0, and so on (Figure 3). If it is not set, ask your professional technician.

4. After entering the home page of the broadband router (Figure 4), the Setup Wizard window as shown in Figure 5 pops up and clicks the Next button.

5. In the next "Wan Port Settings" interface, first, we need to set the type of connection we have on the Internet, because we are using community broadband, click the "WAN Connection type" drop-down menu, select "Static IP", and in the "Internet account" and "Internet Password" dialog box, enter the corresponding user name and password. Then check the "Use ISP's IP address" and "Manually set up DNS Servers" checkbox and enter the IP address and DNS address specified by your ISP. When you are finished setting up, click the Save button (Figure 6).

Small Tips

In "according to your needs, please select the corresponding mode of connection", according to your own actual needs to choose, the community broadband generally for the monthly system, so I recommend the selection of "automatic connection, in the boot and disconnect automatically after the connection" check box, that is, the power-on can connect the network.

6. Set DHCP function

Another special feature of the router is that it provides DHCP services, and we do not have to allow computers in the local area network to access each other through manual IP address assignment for each client.

Click the DHCP server connection on the left side of the main interface to open the DHCP Settings window and confirm that the DHCP server option in this window is enabled by default. The address pool start address and address pool End address options are 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.200, where we can change the 4th address segment of the IP address. When you are finished setting, click the Save button (Figure 7).

Small Tips

★ If the router disables DHCP, the network card needs to set the IP address of the router on the same network segment, the gateway is set to the IP address of the router, and the DNS server parameters are filled in.

★ When changing the address pool start address and address pool End address 4th address segment, be aware that you cannot start with 0, 1, or end with 255.

Third, share the Internet

Because the router has a built-in DHCP server, so we just open any computer, start IE browser, you can access the Internet, sharing the Internet successfully.

Four, clever solution MAC address binding
