How to use the router to feel slow network?

Normally, the router forwarding speed is very fast, the basic no impact on the speed. However, there are still users reflected in the router after the feeling of the computer network slowed down, but can not find the crux of the problem, cannot be solved. The following is an overview of the general approach to this problem:

1, confirm the slow speed of the specific phenomenon.

Disconnect other computers under the router (wired and wireless clients) to ensure that only a single computer under the router, the computer through the Thunder, BT and other software download hot resources or through the local operators of the official speed of the website and the official speed test software.

Do not pick up the router, the computer directly connected to broadband use the same software to download the same resource test speed. The following figure shows the Thunder download speed.

Generally do not pick up the router when the speed of the test will be close to the bandwidth of your application, if there is a large gap with the application bandwidth, you can consult the local broadband operators to solve.

If you test the speed of the network close to the bandwidth of your application, it is generally indicated that the speed is no problem. After connecting to the router, if the tested speed is significantly lower than the bandwidth you requested, proceed to the next step.

2, check the settings on the router.

Check that the router has IP bandwidth control enabled, and if so, turn off the feature and reconfirm the download speed.

3, check the computer settings.

Check whether the computer opened Peer-to-peer software or its hidden process, the more typical software has PPS, PPTV, BT, thunder and other video or download software, these software even without any download operation, will continue to download and upload data, thus affecting the speed. As shown in the following figure.

Confirm that no software process to upload to the outside, test the speed again, if close to your application bandwidth value, indicating that the speed is no problem, if the test out of the speed is significantly lower than the bandwidth you requested, please proceed to the next step.

4, verify that the wireless router has not been rubbed net.

Open the wireless router's administrative interface (typically 192.168.1.1), turn on wireless settings-wireless host status, and see if any other illegal wireless terminals are connected to this wireless router.

If so, turn on wireless settings-Wireless security settings, if wireless security is not set, please immediately open wireless security, recommended WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security type, if the wireless security has been turned on, please modify the PSK password.

Confirm that the net is not rubbed, test the speed again, if you are close to the bandwidth you applied for, the speed is no problem, if the test out of the speed is significantly lower than the bandwidth you requested, please proceed to the next step.

5, the line problem.

In some line environment, because the network cable is too long, the quality of the network cable is poor, the cable line sequence is not standard or the router port suitability problem may also cause the download speed after using the router, try to replace the router WAN Port network cable. 6, wireless interference caused by slow wireless internet.

Use the wireless router computer network cable to connect the router speed is normal, but the wireless connection router's computer speed is slow. After doing the above troubleshooting, the cause of the slow wireless network is likely to be wireless interference.

You can try the following: Open the wireless router's management interface, click Wireless Settings--basic settings, the device wireless channel designated as 1~13 one of them, save effective.

Confirm that the wireless signal strength in the case, to test the wireless client speed, if modified to a wireless channel after the test rate is normal, it should be the environment of other wireless network interference caused by the decline in internet speed.
