PowerPoint 2007 contains three masters, which are slide masters, handout masters, and notes Masters. When you want to set the slide style, you can set it in Slide master view, you can set it in the handout master when you need to print the presentation as a handout, and when you want to insert notes in your presentation, you can set it in the Notes master.
1. Slide Master
A slide master is an element of a design template that stores template information. The information in the slide master includes glyphs, placeholder sizes and positions, background design, and color schemes. By changing the information, the user can change the appearance of the slides in the entire presentation.
Switch to the View tab in the Ribbon, and in the Presentation View group, click the Slide Master button to open the slide master view, as shown in the figure:
2. Handout Master
Handout masters are prepared for handouts and typically require printouts, so most of the handout master settings are related to printing pages. It allows you to set a page of handouts that contain several slides, and set basic information such as headers, footers, page numbers, and so on. When you insert new objects into the handout master or change the layout, the new page effects are not reflected in other master views.
3, notes Master
The notes master is primarily used to format notes for slides, which are generally used to print the output, so most of the notes master settings are also related to the printed page. Switch to the View tab, click the Notes Master button in the Presentation View group, and open the Notes master view, as shown in the figure:
