How to install CentOS under VMware
Preparatory work:
Computer One
VMware installation Complete
CentOS image
First step: Open VMware Click to create a new virtual machine
Step Two: Select Custom installation and click Next
Step three: Select Hardware compatibility, (if your compatibility error is modified in software compatibility), click Next.
Fourth Step: Select the virtual machine operating system, here I choose to install the operating system later, click Next.
Fifth step: Choose Linux for CentOS (choose 64-bit or 32-bit according to the system you choose) and click Next.
Sixth step: Select your virtual machine name and the location where you want to install the virtual machine, then click Next when you are finished.
Seventh Step: Choose the processor configuration for your virtual machine, because CentOS is a server-based system and we are using a virtual environment, so we choose the default, click Next.
Eighth step: Select the memory of the virtual machine you installed and click Next when you are done.
Nineth Step: Select the type of network you need and click Next.
Tenth step: Select the I/O Controller type and click Next.
11th Step: Select the disk type and click Next.
12th step: Select which virtual disk you want to use and click Next.
13th Step: Select the maximum disk size you have allocated for the virtual machine and click Next.
14th Step: Specify the disk file and click Next.
15th step: Customize your hardware configuration and click Custom Hardware.
16th Step: Customize your hardware configuration and click Close when you are done.
17th Step: Complete the installation of the virtual machine and click Finish.
