How to install centos on a vmvm
This tutorial post uses vmvirtual machine for installation,
Ps: I don't know how to use VM. You can use Baidu.

Step 1: Start the VM and create a new VM ··

Select "Install from image". There is a link for downloading the 6.3 image, and then click "Next ".

Select the Client Version and click Next.

It is recommended to change the name and location of the occupied space of the client to a location with a large space.

Set the size of the allocated space

If you have requirements for the client hardware, you can customize the hardware. If not, you can proceed directly to the next step.

Start to install centos and set the client. Set as needed. Note that the downloaded CD image is loaded into the optical drive.

Start installation select skip Detection

Select next

Name your client

Set the root password ···

Click Next and select custom layout.



Create a partition now
Note that partition planning is required. For example, if I have 10 Gb, then I/divide 6 GB swap into 2 GB (because there is 2 GB or less, select 2 times the memory, if it is 2 GB, 2 GB ). Here I want to allocate a dedicated partition/data to store data.

Next step

If you are a newbie for the first time, we recommend that you use Desktop. If you are a server, we recommend that you use Minimal (minimum ). I use Desk as an example.
