Windows 7 supports many new hardware devices, but you cannot find the printer device you are using, and the printer driver is not available on the printer manufacturer's Web page, then you can try downloading a compatible print driver to install the old printer driver.
First, make sure that the printer USB cable is disconnected, and choose Add Printer from devices and printers, what type of printer do you want to install? window, select LPT1: (printer port) from the "Use existing port" drop-down menu in the Select Printer Port window ("Add local printer").
Then click "Next" to select "Manufacturer" and "printer" from the "Install Printer Driver" window and choose the same product as possible without a corresponding model.
When Setup is complete, make sure the Internet connection is normal and click the Windows Update button in the Install Printer driver window, patiently wait for Windows Update to update the driver, update the key person printer name after success, and choose to have a shared complete driver installation.
After installation, you can connect to the printer's USB cable, ignoring the "Device driver software Installation Error" dialog box that appears on the screen, simply turn it off. Go to the Devices and Printers window, right-click the printer you just installed, select Printer properties and click to switch to the Ports tab, change the port from "LPT1" to "USB" or "DOT 4" in the Drop-down menu, and click OK to do so.
Note: Although you can install Windows 7 compliant drivers for many old printers that use USB interfaces, you may not be able to solve all the problems with installing an old printer driver, and you should not be discouraged if the printer cannot successfully install the compatible driver in this manner. You can also try other launcher installation methods, such as looking for Windows Vista drivers to install or simply driving your life to install old printer drivers.
