How to set up a bitcoin packet to D drive

Bitcoin packets are very large (more than 10G), and the Bitcoin wallet will default to the packet on the C drive, our C disk space is often not enough, this time, we can move the packet to D disk. Take a look at the method provided by the bit-age gadget.

First step: Find the bitcoin packet to C drive

In the case of Win 7, Bitcoin packets are typically stored in C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming, as shown in the figure:


Attention:
1, the author's computer user name is administrator, if your computer user name is not the default administrator, please go to your own user name folder down to find
2, AppData is the system hidden folder, in the user name folder within the naked eye is not visible, you directly in the address bar at the end of the add \appdata above the path and then enter directly into the
3, different operating systems, location may be different, if not found, you can directly in the C-Disk search Bitcoin folder

Step two: Cut or copy the Bitcoin folder to D or another disk

Step Three: Find the shortcut icon to start bitcoin

If your Bitcoin wallet is a non-installed version and there are no shortcuts, please create a shortcut first. Then right-click the shortcut and select Properties, as shown in the figure:


Fourth step: Fill in your new Bitcoin packet path

In the shortcut's Properties window, add-datadir= "D:\coindate\Bitcoin" to the "Target" column (this is the location of the bitcoin packet, which you want to change to the path where you just copied the bitcoin packet), and then make sure, as shown in the figure:


Note: There is a space in front of-datadir

Fifth step: Start the Bitcoin wallet with a shortcut later

This frees up the C-disk space (if it is not later launched via a shortcut but directly runs the bitcoin EXE program, the bitcoin wallet client will again generate a new wallet under the C drive)
