WORD2013 has the ability to automatically create backup files, and you can automatically create a backup file each time you modify a Word document and save it, helping users easily recover to an older version of the Word document. The following steps are described in detail:
Step 1th, open the Word2013 document window, click the file → options command, and so on, as shown in Figure 2013041203.

Step 2nd, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Advanced tab, and then in the Save area, select the Always create backup copy check box and click OK, as shown in Figure 2013041204.

The user can see the automatically created Word backup file in the directory of the original Word2013 document and, once the original file is mistakenly manipulated, open the backup file and save it as a normal. docx file, as shown in Figure 2013041205.
