How to handle an unknown drive under Ubuntu 12

I. BACKGROUND

An error occurred while mounting a large hard drive (9TB) on a hard disk (UBUNTU12): Ubuntu uses the Pvdisplay command to discover information about an unknown drive: couldn ' t find device with UUID ' Xxxxxxxxxxxxx ', as shown in the following figure:
