How to have the computer display the full file name and extension

1 Open Folder Options

The mouse clicks the Tools menu on the window. Then select Folder Options from the Drop-down menu.

2. Switch to the "View" tab

In the Folder Options dialog box, click View to switch to the View tab.

3. Change the settings that display the extension

Display the extension, and in the Advanced Settings section, change the selected "Hide extensions of known file types" to unselected, and click OK.
