How to hide Control Panel options

You can use Group Policy settings to hide the options in Control Panel, and many users do not know how to set them, as follows.

1. Click "Start" → "Run" and enter "Gpedit.msc" to open Group Policy.

2. Expand "User Configuration" → "Administrative Templates" → "control Panel", find "Hide specified Control Panel program" on the right.

3. Select Enabled, and then click Show.

4. Pop up "Show content" and click "Add" on the right.

5. Pop up "Add Item" and enter the control Panel program you want to hide under "Enter items to add." If you want to hide a control Panel item, enter the file name of the item, such as Ncpa.cpl. If you want to hide a folder, you can enter a filename.

6. After setting up, click "OK" continuously, save exit.
