Is there a way to successfully break through the ADSL bandwidth sharing restrictions of service providers to achieve dual-host or multi-host internet sharing? The answer is yes. This article will introduce you to a simple and easy-to-use broadband sharing solution-multi-host single-nic Internet access sharing. With the rapid development of broadband Internet services and the popularization of computers, more and more enterprises and individuals have more than one computer, and users also want to share the Internet. Some broadband service providers want to protect their business interests, measures (such as adding a dedicated authentication program) are taken to restrict sharing, which has aroused widespread dissatisfaction among netizens. Search google or Baidu for keywords such as "Netcom sharing" to see how strong this reaction is. "×× Netcom limits sharing the notorious zookeeper" "who requires a computer to apply for a line? Is it legal to try to Prohibit Internet sharing ?" Is there a way to successfully break through the ADSL bandwidth sharing restrictions of these service providers to achieve dual-host or multi-host internet access sharing? The answer is yes. This article introduces a simple and easy-to-use broadband sharing solution-multi-host single-nic Internet sharing. TIPS: Currently, there are three solutions to achieve broadband Internet sharing in restricted areas. They are: multi-host single-nic Internet sharing, multi-host dual-nic Internet sharing (with dual-nic machines as hosts, 24-hour boot), and purchase a dedicated router to achieve Internet sharing. Compared with the above three solutions, the first solution has less investment (single network card), more flexible Internet access, and does not require dedicated servers for Internet access, this article focuses on a shared Internet access method. The second solution is, in this case, you need to configure a host with relatively good performance as a server (with dual NICs installed), and all other machines use the client to access the Internet. The third option is to install a Broadband Router and perform relevant settings for Internet sharing. However, for some regions (such as Henan, you must purchase a Broadband Router designed for the region to achieve Internet sharing. Currently, the general principle of China Netcom's restricted sharing is that it adopts a special authentication program (an ADSL account is opened, and the maximum number of connections is displayed when the account is logged in with the same account online ), use authentication methods (such as fixed IP addresses and MAC addresses) to authenticate Internet users to restrict sharing. Ii. multi-host, multi-host, and single-network card sharing. (1) tool preparation: 1. network adapter for the HUB network cable (direct connection) (that is, the network cable at both ends of the network cable is based on the 586A or 586B standard ). [Tips]: 586A and 586B are two different network cable production methods. 586A standard line sequence: white green, green, white orange, blue, white blue, orange, white brown, brown; 586B standard: white orange, orange, white green, blue, white blue, green, white brown, brown. 2. virtual router software: HomeShare. 3. One HUB (five or eight ports ). [Knowledge] HUB: Also known as a HUB, is a network device that shares bandwidth. Generally, the bandwidth is 10 MB. (2) Sharing Practices connect two computers in the home with one computer next door to achieve Internet sharing. One of the two computer operating systems in the home is WinXP, one is Win2000, and the neighbor is WinXP. To facilitate the description, we designate the computer with the WinXP operating system in the home as host, specify a computer with Win2000 as B and a computer with WinXP as C. Specific steps: 1. Hardware connection: first, connect the ADSL telephone line to the ADSL cat, then, connect the ADSL cat to the HUB's cascade port ("Uplink" port) with the network cable from the just-prepared computer to the HUB, connect the computer A, B, and C to any other port of the HUB with A prepared network cable. 2. Software Installation: Install HomeShare software for each computer, this software is a shared software, and, even more valuable, is a fully functional unrestricted version. 3. Software settings: Take host A as an example. The specific settings are as follows: (1) "advanced options" configuration. Because most China Netcom in the shared area is limited to use a dedicated authentication program, it will automatically detect whether the second IP address is configured for the NIC, and remember the MAC address of the computer Nic for a while. First, switch the software to the "advanced options" tab in the pop-up Main Window, select "do not use Intranet IP Address" and "use fixed MAC address" (1 ), specify the MAC address of the Local Machine for the software (the MAC addresses of machines A, B, and C must be the same ). Figure 1 I would like to remind you that if you have accidentally clicked the mouse on the "options" tab of the main interface after the software is started, the software will automatically identify the computer in the intranet and specify the IP address, subnet mask, Gateway and other information for the machine, it needs to be restored to "automatically obtain IP address mode ". Solution: click "Settings"> "Control Panel"> "network connection"> "Local Connection"> "general"> "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) "→" automatically retrieve IP addresses ". (2) General "option" configuration: After "advanced options" are configured, click the "General" label to switch server a to the general "option" configuration interface (2 ), three configurations are required: Figure 2:
● Intranet IP settings: Although we have selected "do not use Intranet IP addresses", "intranet IP settings" in the "options" also need to be filled in; otherwise, the software will not be able to connect to the server. The setting method is as follows: Click the IP address in "intranet IP settings" and click it casually, homeShare automatically configures the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway of host A (2 ). ● "Connection type" setting: Select "dynamic DHCP retrieval" here. TIPS: There are four connection types: "dynamic DHCP acquisition", "fixed IP", "PPPoE", and "802.1x ". In fact, in the broadband network system, the so-called dialing actually does not dial any number, but is an identity authentication mechanism, which only follows the call of dial-up Internet access. The above four connection types are actually four "authentication methods" to protect the interests of broadband service providers ". 1. "fixed IP": the service provider assigns a fixed IP address to the user, which can be used to access the Internet. Other IP addresses cannot be used to access the Internet. This method is the easiest way to authenticate your identity. However, this method has the worst anti-theft performance. You can also use the IP addresses of others to access the Internet. However, it is widely used. 2. "PPPoE" dialing method: PPPoE is the oldest and most widely used broadband dialing method. It uses the PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) Protocol to apply for Internet access permissions from the dial-up server of a broadband service provider. The dial-up server will charge for the time. 3. 802.1x Dialing: 802.1x is a port-based access control protocol, which is more secure and efficient than PPPoE. 4. Third-party software: because common broadband dial-up protocols are easily embedded in routers, many broadband service providers use broadband dial-up software and dial-up protocols developed by third parties, it is used to prevent users from sharing the Internet, that is, the "automatically obtain DHCP" method in this example. ● "Network number" Settings :. with HomeShare, you can set your own network number so that all your home computers are in a virtual network. At the same time, only users with the same network number can share the internet, the Network numbers of the three machines must be consistent. So far, after the hardware and software settings of machine A are complete, we need to set machines B and C below, and set machines B and C in the order of machine A settings, first, configure "do not use Intranet IP Address" and "use fixed MAC address" in "advanced options, in the general "options", you only need to note that except for the different virtual IP addresses in the "intranet IP settings", all other settings are the same (that is: use the same connection type, the same network number, subnet mask, and gateway ). After all the three machines are set up, we have enabled the three computers to use HomeShare for single Nic shared ADSL Internet access. The specific method is: click the "connection" icon of HomeShare (or click "network"> "connection" of the software in sequence) after the instance is started. If no other computer in the network accesses the Internet, after HomeShare is connected, the words "server" and "connected" are displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the page, that is, the computer that is connected to the Internet first becomes an intranet server for the other two computers to access the Internet. If the server is temporarily shut down or restarted during the Internet access process, one of the other two computers will immediately upgrade from the client to a temporary server to provide Proxy services.
