How to increase the Oracle tablespace

Increase the Oracle tablespace size: one is to add data files to the tablespace/the other is to increase the size of the original data file in the tablespace

1. Add data files to the tablespace:

Alter tablespace users add datafile '/opt/oracle/oradata/esop/so_data02.dbf' size 200 M;

Or

Alter tablespace name add datafile 'data file path 'size 500 m autoextend on next 100 m maxsize unlimited;

2. Another method is to increase the size of the original data file in the tablespace:

Alter database datafile '/opt/oracle/oradata/esop/so_data01.dbf' resize 2048 M;

To delete a tablespace, run the following command:

Drop tablespace user including contents and datafiles;
