File to install the mediation server
To successfully complete this procedure, you should log on to the server at least as a local administrator and as a domain user with at least membership in the Rtcuniversalreadonlyadmins group.
Use the steps in this topic to run the Lync Server 2010 Department Wizard to install files for the mediation server on a computer that is added to the mediation server pool when using the Topology Builder definition and publishing pool. When you install files for a mediation server, you also install and assign the certificates required for each computer in the mediation server pool.
On this site, if you have deployed a front-end pool or Standard mediation server on Edition Server, you can skip this topic and continue with the configuration relay and conversion rules.

This topic assumes that you have defined and published a separate mediation server pool as described in the mediation server and publication topology defined as a site for the deployment document, and have determined that the computers in the mediation server pool meet the prerequisites for the software prerequisites for enterprise voice and the security and configuration prerequisites for enterprise voice. |
Installing files for a standalone mediation server pool
1. Login-Intermediary Server
2. Prerequisite conditions:
Install-.net 3.5 with SP1
3. In the installation media, right-click < install media >\setup\amd64\setup.exe, and then click Run as Administrator.
4. On the install Location page, click OK.
