1. How to install a vro external configuration Device

When installing a vro, The vro performs the following operations:
◆ Perform power-on self-check from ROM to detect basic operations of CPU, memory, and interface circuit.
◆ Boot from ROM and install and download the operating system to the primary storage.
◆ When the boot operating system is pre-determined by the configuration register boot from FLASH or the network, the boot system command of the configuration file determines its exact location.
◆ The operating system is downloaded to the low-address memory. After the download, the operating system determines the working hardware and software of the router and displays the result on the screen.
◆ The configuration files stored in NVRAM are loaded to the main memory and executed. The configuration starts the routing process and provides the interface address and setting media features.
◆ Then enter the system configuration session to display the configuration information, such as the configuration information of each interface.

5. How to install a vro: Setup session

When there is no valid configuration file in NVRAM, The vro automatically enters the Setup session mode. You can also enter Setup in the command line for configuration. The Setup command is an interactive command. Each question has a default configuration. If you use the default configuration, press Enter. If the system has already been configured, the current configuration value is displayed. If this is the first configuration, the factory settings are displayed. When "More ------" is displayed, type the Space key to continue. If you exit from Setup, type Ctrl-C.
