If you want to connect the LAN to the Internet, the main device is the router. Routers can be divided into wired routers and wireless routers or APs ). The biggest difference between the two is that a wireless router has not only one WAN port, but generally has four LAN ports to remove the wireless function. It is a wired four-port router, while a Wireless AP has only one WAN port, in addition, it only implements wireless coverage and generally does not provide routing functions. We will not repeat it here. In some cases, a wireless router becomes an AP, which is called an Access Point only from a wireless Point of view ).

After learning about wireless routers, let's teach you how to install them step by step.

First, find the antennas from the accessories and install them on the vro. If they are not detachable antennas, this process will be avoided.

Next, select a suitable location for the wireless router. There are three factors to consider: First, try to use wireless signals to cover the middle of all users, so as not to lose sight of each other and deprive some students of the right to access the Internet. Second, it is to consider the location of your upper-level access point, such as the upper-level routers and small and medium-sized enterprise users) or ADSL cat home users. If you are close to them, you don't need to pull the network cable. Of course, if you like it, I have no opinion on pulling a long network cable out ?; The third is to consider the power supply of the wall. After all, wire pulling will affect the vision, right? In addition, please pay attention to cleaning. Do not make your router a cockroach house ?!

Well, after the wireless router is placed, plug in the dedicated power adapter in the accessories and turn on the power, the router will start. However, the vro cannot access the Internet at this time. You need to make some settings to use the vro according to your usage.

After installing the vro, you need to set up the vro below. Your Wireless Router usually has two access methods, as shown in:

Access Method 2: connect to the Modem)

The access method to connect the upper-level router is common in the company's internal network, and the access method to connect the modem is mainly used for home broadband access, such as China Telecom ADSL.

If your access method is the first, make sure that the LAN interface IP address of the connected upper-level router cannot conflict with the LAN interface IP address of the wireless router. For example, the upper-level router uses the IP address 192.168.1.1, the IP address of the wireless router to be connected is 192.168.1.1, and their IP addresses will conflict, resulting in the failure of the wireless router to work normally. The solution is to change one of them to another IP address, such as 192.168.0.1. For detailed settings, see the relevant manual.

For the second connection method, make sure that the modem is in bridging mode. If you have already used another router or computer to dial up the Internet, the modem is in bridging mode, you do not need to make too many settings. If the modem is used for automatic dialing, You need to reset the modem to the Bridge Mode. For more information, see the relevant manual.

After the above preparations are completed, connect the WAN interface of the wireless router with a network cable and the upper-level router in the first case) or the modem in the second case ).

Then you can set the vro. Next we take the JCG JIR-N615R 802.11n M wireless router as an example, describes how to set up a wireless router.

First, enter the vro settings page. You can use the network cable attached to the accessories to connect to any LAN interface of the wireless router or directly connect to the wireless router using the wireless network. The default wireless network name and key are on the back of the body, such as SSID: JCG-3052D0, key: 0076067703. After the connection is successful, open your browser and enter http: // 192.168.1.1 in the address bar to go to the router setting homepage:
