RedHat Linux 5 forgot the root password and reset the password

Install RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.0 first

Test environment: Windows2012 + Vmvare9.0 + Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 64-bit Virtual Machine

Installation disc: rhel-5-server-x86_64-dvd.iso

Installation steps:

1. Start the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 64-bit Virtual Machine and open the server folder under the CD

2. Double-click the fonts-chinese-3.02-12.el5.noarch.rpm file under the directory of the disc Server, click Next to complete the installation

3, double-click the CD Server directory under the fonts-ISO8859-2-75dpi-1.0-17.1.noarch.rpm file, click Next to complete the installation

4. Open the desktop, click the System-Administration-Language menu on the top, select the Simplified Chinese Input Method, and click OK.

5. Open the desktop, right-click the desktop, open the terminal, enter the reboot command, and restart the computer.
