How to install Plasma 15.04 on Kubuntu 5.4
On July 6, August 25, 2015, the KDE team announced the release of Plasma 5.4. We have previously introduced Plasma 5.4, bringing new service functions, more beautiful interfaces, and new Icon Sets, it looks more eye-catching and gorgeous. For details, see.
Now let's see how to install it.
If you are a KUbuntu 15.04 user and install Plasma 5.4, you only need to add KDE Backports PPA to your software source for upgrade. There is no strict recommendation for the added Kubuntu backports PPA, because it may only be a specific configuration file of the KDE Desktop, application suite, development framework, or Kubuntu.
If you like the current stable KUbuntu 15.04, we recommend that you do not upgrade it.
Upgrade command:
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: kubuntu-ppa/backports
Sudo apt-get update & sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Complete the upgrade. If no error occurs, restart the computer.
If you are not using Kubuntu, that is, you are using the Unity Ubuntu version, you should first install the Kubuntu desktop package (you can find the desktop package in the Ubuntu Software Center for installation ).
To cancel the above changes and downgrade, use the PPA-clear tool to roll back:
Sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
Sudo ppa-purge ppa: kubuntu-ppa/backports
If you have already upgraded, leave a message to share it first !!!
