How to install VMware Tools and share with Windows data at the command line

Install VMware Tools:

Select the menu bar "virtual Machine"--"Install VMware Tools" and wait for the system to automatically replace the ISO disc

Mount/dev/cdrom/mnt
Cd/mnt
Tar zxvf vmwaretools-9.6.0-1294478.tar.gz-c/root/(installed into the directory)
cd/root/
CD vmware-tools-distrib/
./vmware-install.pl
Return to Installation

Then run/usr/bin under the vmware-config-tools.pl, also all the way to the installation.

After installation,VMware adds a Vmhgfs module to the kernel, which can be viewed using lsmod .

Reboot the system after completion.

Sharing with Windows data:

1. Set the "shared folder" in the-->options tab, select it in the right window, and click Add button.

2. Enter your Linux system and enter the following directory to see the shared files:/mnt/hgfs/< your share name >
