How to install ImageMagick under Linux
With no graphical interface support, the configuration on Linux (CentOS 6.4 x64) is a bit more cumbersome than Windows XP.
1. Download source files for ImageMagick and Jmagick (http://downloads.jmagick.org/6.4.0/): imagemagick-6.4.0.-0tar.gz
2. Unzip and install ImageMagick:
tar xzvf imagemagick-6.4. 0-0. Tar . GZ # cd ImageMagick-6.4. 0 # . /configure--enable-shared--without-perl make make Installmake check
After the installation is complete, run the convert-version command to detect that it should appear:
Convert-version
Version:imagemagick 6.4.0 08/31/10 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org
Copyright:copyright (C) 1999-2008 ImageMagick Studio LLC
Of course, the following error may occur
Convert:error while loading shared libraries:libmagickcore.so.1:cannot open Shared object file:no such file or Directo Ry
at this point, you need to do a 3rd to run
Convert is installed by default under/usr/local/bin, and the command above may indicate that the convert command could not be found. Then you can create a link to/usr/local/bin/convert below the/usr/bin:
# cd/usr/ln -s/usr/local/bin/-version
3. Modify the configuration file:
Added in/etc/profile:
Ld_library_path=/usr/local/lib: $LD _library_path
Export Ld_library_path
Added in/etc/ld.so.conf:
/usr/local/lib
It will take "/sbin/ldconfig-v" to update before it takes effect.
