If linux is installed on the Dell server R715 and the GPT partition is not bootable, the following error occurs: Your boot partition is on a disk using the GPT partitioning Scheme but this machines cannot boot using GPT. use the shortcut key www.2cto.com: Ctrl + Alt + F2 to go to the command interface: view the device name of the hard disk: fdisk-l assume that the type displayed after/dev/sdb is GPT. Enter: parted: select www.2cto.com and then enter/dev/sdb (do not select sdb1 or sdb2 or something, just enter sdb) mklabel msdosyesYour disk type? [Gpt]?
Input: Msdos (important) quit, reformat the disk to be installed, and install it. Finally, install the Redhat Enterprise 5.8 64-bit system.
