As Windows10 released, Microsoft launched the new Android simulator, which is said to run faster than Google's own simulator! It's worth saying that if you have a Microsoft account you can experience it for 30 days for free.
While Windows 10 was released, Microsoft also had a lot of other work to do, such as the new Android simulator "Visual Studio Emulator for Android".
In fact, this is not the first time Microsoft has made an Android simulator, but it is the first standalone emulator app that doesn't need to install the Visual Studio development environment at the same time, and anyone can use it, and it's said to run faster than Google's own simulator.
It will install some Android 4.4 profiles by default, allowing developers to simulate the health of Android apps on their PC in a realistic environment, but the average user can also play them.
Note, however, that it requires your operating system to support Hyper-V virtualization technology, which is Windows 8/8.1 Professional, Enterprise, and Windows Server 2008/2012, and preferably 64-bit.
It does not include the Google Play service, so the app's related modules will not work.
Microsoft also published the corresponding instructions for use, click here to view.
Microsoft's new Android Simulator is based on the Android 4.4 KitKat with tablet and phone mode. In terms of operation, the simulator supports mouse operation, can simulate click and drag by the left mouse button, and right click Simulator multi-finger touch control.
The emulator's standalone installation package includes a simulator and some configuration files. Once installed, more profiles can be downloaded through the Profile Manager. The simulator is free to experience 30 days, but requires a login to Microsoft account.
