This article describes how to install the Redhat (Red Hat) Linux6.9 operating system on VMware software
The first step is to prepare the ISO system image package for the VMware software and redhat-linux6.9 operating system (linux6.9 for example)
The first step:
Open the VMware software, click Create a new virtual machine in the home page, or click the top left file, click New virtual machine in the list, mark it:
Step Two:
After clicking on the new virtual Machine, a wizard window pops up, and the Novice recommends choosing a typical configuration (simpler), with some experience choosing a custom (Advanced) configuration. (Here is a custom mode example) Select OK and click Next
Step Three:
Select the virtual machine hardware compatibility, choose the highest version, here the highest version is Workstation 12.0, then click Next
Fourth Step:
Install the guest operating system, select Install the operating system later, then click Next
Fifth Step:
Select the guest operating system, select Linux (L), the version here is the red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 64-bit example, and then click Next
Sixth step:
Name the virtual machine and install the location (custom), then click Next
Seventh Step:
Virtual machines Specify the number of processors (no more than the real machine), the number of processor cores is recommended to select 2, increase the speed of operation (depending on the performance of the real machine), and then click Next
Eighth Step:
Specify the amount of memory allocated to the virtual machine, (depending on your real-computer performance support) Select 2GB here and click Next

Select the network type for the virtual machine (select the recommended NAT mode here) and click Next
Tenth step:
Select the I/O Controller type (select the recommended Type here) and click Next
11th Step:
Select the virtual Disk type, (select the recommended type), then click Next
12th Step:
Select disk (choose Create new Virtual Disk), then click Next
13th Step:
Specify the size of the disk, divide the virtual disk into a single file or multiple files (choose a disk size of 20GB, select a single file for easy management, multiple files are easy to move), and then click Next

Disk file name (keep it default), then click Next
15th Step:
Set the virtual machine hardware, specify the Linux6.9 operating system ISO image file, click Custom Hardware
Remove the printer and, USB controller, sound card, click cd/DVD (SATA), specify the location of the ISO image file, click Close when done
Then click Finish
At this point a virtual machine has been created to complete
16th Step:
Click to open this virtual machine and start the installation system
Press the ENTER key on the keyboard to select the first installation

Move the arrow keys on the keyboard, select Skip disc image detection, enter
18th Step:
Select "Next" in this interface
19th step:
Choose the system language and keyboard form, the system language Chinese (Chinese (Simplified)) or English (Chinese)) is OK, Keyboard form must be selected in U.S. English (u.s.english), then click Next (Next)
20th step:
Select the storage device, select the first one here, and then click Next
21st Step:
Pop up a storage device warning, select Yes, ignore all data
22nd Step:
Set the hostname, here is the default, then click Next
23rd Step:
Set the system time, select the time zone (optional), remove the system clock using UTC time (avoid system time disturbance), and then click Next

Set the system administrator root password and click Next
25th Step:
Select Type installation, (choose Create custom Layout), then click Next
26th Step:
Click Create, generate standard partition, create boot, swap,/(root partition), three partitions, set each partition size according to legend, swap partition size is twice times of actual memory size, each partition is forced to primary partition, click Next after setting up
27th Step:
Pop-up Format Warning window, click Format, write changes to disk
28th Step:
Select Boot device, leave default, select Next
29th Step:
Select Software Group, choose now custom (easy to customize), click Next
30th Step:
Select the software group you want, then select Next
31st Step:
Wait patiently for the system to be installed.
32nd Step:
Installation complete, click Reboot
33rd step:
The command line interface appears, enter the root account and password, a prompt indicates that the login was successful
34th Step:
Take the current virtual machine original snapshot (to prevent loss of error), suspend the virtual machine (for next work) and exit the VMware software after saving a status of 100%
