Sogou input method is a very popular input method. This input method is not installed by default on Ubuntu. If you search online, you will find that different websites provide different methods. Some work, some do not work. Now, I will write down my experience and installation steps. Hope to help developers. The Chinese input method is also very helpful for developing Chinese applications on Ubuntu phone. After the Chinese Input Method is installed, We can enter Chinese Characters in QT creator and scope testing tools to develop our Chinese applications.
1) first download "sogou Input Method for Linux"
Go to the following website: http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/#download the latest dog search method. Download the appropriate version based on the number of CPU cores.
We store the file in the default "downloads" folder. Of course, you can also find a folder you like to store this Debian file.
2) to install the Debian file of sogou input method, first open the folder where the sogou input method is stored and double-click the file:
We can see that the system will automatically call "ubuntu Software Center" to install the downloaded sogoupinyin software. Wait until the installation is complete.
3) to install the Ubuntu OS language support, we should first enable the Ubuntu OS settings. Click the settings icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

If your system does not have Chinese Language installed, select "Install/remove languages..." to install Chinese language support. Select "fcitx" at the same time ". The final picture is:
4) configure the sogou Chinese Input Method
Click the "en" icon in the upper-right corner of the screen or the keyboard icon.
Select the last "text entry" and click "+" to add the sogou input method. Click "OK ". Restart the system.
5) added support for starting QT Creator for Chinese characters of QT. If you enter Chinese Characters in QT creator (using Ctrl + space keys) and there is no Chinese display, we must enter the following command in termrix:
$ sudo apt-get install fcitx-frontend-qt5
In this way, restart QT creator. We can enter Chinese characters:
