How do I install the. deb file under the Linux system?

Deb is the Ubuntu, Debian format.
RPM is the format of Redhat, Fedora, and SuSE.

They are not universal (though they can be converted).

Deb is a Debian-released package
Ubuntu is a Debian-based release of all available

. deb is the installation package suffix name under the Solaris system. The installation method is as follows

CD to the directory of the installation package

Dpkg-i Install package Name

If you are using Red Hat Linux, then run the following command to install

CD to the directory of the installation package
RPM-IVH Install package Name
