How to install X-Plane in Ubuntu10.04 (amd64)

D. Create the Linux directory under the X-Plane 9 directory on the CD.

E. Download four files from the Internet: Airfoil-Maker-i686.zip,Plane-Maker-i686.zip,Briefer-i686.zip,X-Plane-i686.zip. The address is as follows:

F. Put the four downloaded files in the Linux directory.

H. Use the ISO software to rewrite the CD and generate a new file named XPlane9_Linux.iso.

2. Install XPlane9 under Ubuntu

A. Mount the CD. Of course, all basic conditions must be met. For example, cd/media/"Windows Partition Number"/; create a cdrom1 directory under/mnt. ,

B. mount command: sudo mount-t iso9660-o loop XPLANE9_Linux.iso/mnt/cdrom1

C. Go to the directory and run the Linux DVD Installer we just added. Command:./Linux_DVD_Installer (that is, the file name just now ).

D. If there is a problem with the installation, first look at the solution below.

3. Installation and update troubleshooting and installation conditions

A. Prepare necessary packages. Run the following command:

Then run OpenScenery Installer.
After the command is executed, copy everything installed in the original windows system to the Linux system!

4. About the flight joystick, I use Cyborg X. Go to X-Plane and set the button.

5. Move the mouse.If the joystick is enabled, the mouse will be erratic and you cannot click the menu with the mouse. This problem cannot be solved for the moment. However, I set Alt + Ctrl + Q to quit the game so that the keyboard can be used in the system.
