M2A-VM How to Overclock
Comments on "Asus Overclocking Club"
to Overclock, the BIOS should be set accordingly,
1. Under Jumperfree option
CPU multiplier change CPU frequency multiplier
CPU Frequency Change CPU FSB
the two best to calculate their own, do not let their bus frequency over 1000 too much, of course, do not lower. It doesn't make sense to overclock.
2, theCPU configuration options AMD Cool "n" quiet selected disabled, or overclocking unsuccessful,
3. Under Chipset option
DRAM configuration put menory clock. Change, this change to be based on your octave and FSB to consider, you can use the K8 memory calculator to calculate the overclocking of their own memory frequency, do not super too high, to see the appropriate
LDT PCI bus control to the inside of the LDT bus frequency changed, inside is ht1000,ht800 ....
1000,800 and so are 200 FSB respectively multiplied by 5, 4, 3, etc., your FSB changed, but this bus frequency is still multiplied by 5, 4, 3, such as you choose Ht800, FSB is 250, the bus frequency is 250*4=1000, if FSB is 260 words , the bus frequency is 260*4=1040, so the FSB is super, but not too much,
No more than 250 FSB words HT set to 4x, mediation FSB, memory default, are not pressurized, other without tube, save exit, should be OK.
If not the first memory set to 533, and then into the memory sequencing, respectively, CAS Latency, ras to Cas,row precharge time, Ras active T,row cycle, respectively set to 5-5-5-15,20, if not stable, Memory can be set to ddr400 timing, or 4-4-4-12,16, and slightly increase CPU power and memory voltage.
Over 250 FSB HT is set to 3x; Over 333 FSB HT is set to 2x.
(ht= FSB *ht coefficient <=1000)
ASUS has overclocking software!
Tip: The voltage should not be too high, cpu<=1.525v,ram<=2.00v, better memory can be above 2.2v.
If the original fan, small super-3800+, the default is 2.0.
Go straight into the Blos and jump the CPU clock frequency to 2.3!
Do not change anything else, not to add voltage!
Enter BIOS tune FSB. To reduce the burden on the motherboard, limit the HT bus to less than 1000MHz.
For example:
Default is 200MHz (FSB) X 5 (HT octave) =1000mhz (default HT bus)
For example, if you multiply the octave to 230MHz, now it's X 5 = 1150MHz (overclocking HT bus)
Now it's time to turn the HT multiplier (remember, not the CPU multiplier) to 4x,230 X 4 =920mhz
