Since IE9 was officially released, many users have found that the Address bar drop-down menu for IE 9 shows only five visited web address records by default, unlike IE 8 to save more. Most users want the address bar of IE 9 to display more than five web address records, so they ask in Microsoft's Chinese technology Forum How to increase the number of records saved:

IE 9 shows only five web address records by default to reserve some space for your favorites and IE 9 's own history record. If you want to free up this space to save more than five web address records, you can switch to the Content tab in Internet options, click Settings in the AutoComplete box, select the Address bar check box in the AutoComplete apply to box, and then cancel the browse history, Favorites, source, use Windows Search for better results check box.
After you restart IE 9, the IE 9 Address bar pull-down menu saves up to 25 Web site address records.
