Since the notebook computer has been quite popular, so this tutorial approach mainly around the notebook, suitable for WIN8 single system recovery, not suitable for WIN7+WIN8 dual systems. This method is applicable to all notebooks except Dell.
This article involves a lot of tools and procedures, but if strictly follow the steps, will be able to achieve success (PC manufacturers are also using a similar method, the factory production of a key recovery function). Here simple to draw up the operation process, for everyone to clear the train of thought.
Let's use Lenovo as an example: first create a larger-capacity hidden partition (also known as an OEM partition), and then using the Ghost tool, the prepared associative one-key recovery tool file (Lenovo). GHO) released to the OEM partition, to ensure that the OEM partition is the primary partition and hidden, and then use the Bootice tool to make WIN8 a key restore function, after the completion of the power-on when the press F9 or F10 button to enter the association of a key recovery interface.

Step one: Prepare hidden partitions
This step focuses on using the Diskgenius software to prepare a hard disk partition with sufficient capacity
To make a Win8 recovery, you must have a hidden partition with sufficient capacity. If the notebook does not have a hidden partition, you must manually create one. For Win7 with hidden partitions, because the default hidden partition capacity is only 15GB, and the capacity after WIN8 installation is greater than 15GB, the hidden partition must be expanded to 30GB or even higher. Action steps are as follows:
Run the Diskgenius partition software, and if your notebook is shipped pre-installed with a restore system, you can see the OEM hidden Partitions (the hidden partition capacity for most branded notebooks is 15GB). Right-click another alternate partition, select Split partition (Figure 1), enter a capacity (for example, 15GB) in the space after partition, and then select Merge to OEM partition to extend the hidden partition to 30GB. You need to be reminded that it is best to clear the data in these two partitions before merging, otherwise the partitioning consolidation operation can take a very long time.
If the notebook does not have a hidden partition at the factory, you can use Diskgenius to create a new partition with a capacity of 30GB, as shown in Figure 2, select "New Partition". Click the Start button and follow the prompts to restart the system after the conversion.
Step two: Make the partition file
This step focuses on: Release the Lenovo one-key recovery tool into the partition with Ghost, and hide it with the Diskgenius transformation partition as the primary partition.
First of all, we must first make a WinPE launch U disk version, the method is to insert a U disk USB interface, and then run WinPE u disk startup production tools, select U disk equipment and then select USB-HDD mode, click the "one button to make a USB boot Disk" button, and then according to the prompts to make it. After the production, will WinPE system image files copied to the U disk root directory can be. Next download Lenovo a key restore version 7.2, after decompression can get a Lenovo.gho file, next, we need to lenovo.gho this one-key recovery tool installation files released to the OEM partition.
Insert a U disk to restart the notebook, according to the prompts to enter the WinPE system. and then use U disk to boot into the WinPE before, you need to adjust the notebook USB u boot sequence. To the author's Lenovo, for example, press F2 key to enter the BIOS setup interface, switch to the "Boot Manager" interface, the U disk set to the first boot sequence, and then press F10 key to save exit. Execute the Ghost tool in the system, select "Local" → "Partition" → "from Image" in the interface, select Lenovo in the pop-up window. GHO, using the recovery operation to put Lenovo. The Gho file is released to the OEM partition (Figure 3).
Remove the U disk and restart the notebook, switch to the WIN8 system. Run the Diskgenius partition software again, right-click the new OEM partition, and choose Convert to Primary partition (Figure 4). Exit Diskgenius and run the PartID partition marker modification tool, after selecting an OEM partition, change the partition mark to 12 (Figure 5), which hides the new OEM partition.
Step three: Make a key recovery
This step focuses on: the use of the Bootice tool to install the configuration of hidden partitions, and finally achieve a key restore function
Some of these are WIN8 compatibility issues and need to go into the BIOS to adjust the options before making a single key recovery. To determine the method, enter the BIOS setup interface, in the information interface, if there is a "Win8 STD PRC" Related serial number option (Figure 6), you must switch to the "Boot" option page, the "boot Mode" to the right option from "Legacy Support" to " Ufei "(Figure 7), and" external device "set to" enabled "state, and then press F10 Save exit. If there is no Win8 compatibility problem without this selection, proceed to the following steps.
Log on to the WIN8 system, perform the Bootice Boot Sector Maintenance tool, click the Master Boot Record button (Figure 8), and then click the "Recover MBR" button to select F9_MBR. Bin or F10mbr.bin file, turn off the software, turn it back on, click the "Partition Boot Record" button, select the OEM partition you created earlier under target partition, and select the "Bootmgr Bootstrapper (Fat/fat32/ntfs)" button and click "Install/Configure".
After restarting the system, the boot screen will appear press or presses to RUN recovery prompts, pressing F9 or F10 key will login Lenovo one key restore interface (Figure 9), at this time into the "system backup" option, according to the prompts to manually back up a good Win8 system can be. In the future, once the system is in trouble, just press F9 or F10 key after the boot into a key recovery interface, select the "System Restore" option, according to the prompts can easily realize Win8 a key recovery.
