How to manage a route using the SSH protocol

The following is an experiment on using the SSH protocol to manage vrouters. I believe it is also a practical small technology in practical work. The network topology is an SSH server R1 connected to an SSH client vror2 R2. in the middle, an SSH client PC is bridging.

1. telnet is simple. You only need to create a password and then login can log on. However, telnet is not safe. I have tried ssh Login settings before, but recently I seem to have forgotten it. Let's review the settings here.

2. Connect the two routers directly, and then connect a PC bridge to the two routers. It's okay if you have configured the IP address ping test, so that you can leave some common knowledge and skills to learn other network configuration technologies in the future.

3. Start a name on R1 to define a domain name. You must take these two steps before starting the ssh service. This is used to generate a key, then, use crypto to generate a 1024 key. The vro automatically generates a public key and a private key. Create a user and password for R1.

4. log on to the line vty interface and specify ssh to log on to the host. You cannot log on to the host using other methods. Then enter the login local identity authentication method.

5. At this time, you can first use the ssh tool of the PC to log in and try it. Note that you can select ssh2 because we just used the key generated by 1024, ssh2 must have a key greater than 700. When the first connection is established, a public key receiving box is displayed. If this box is displayed, the connection is confirmed. Enter your username and password.

6. Use R2 to test whether the vro can be used as an ssh client, because the vro is actually a linux simplified version (you can think so ), note that the ssh format of the router is the IP address of the ssh-l user name. Note that there is a-l parameter. If you do not enter this parameter, it cannot be entered.
