A departmental virtual machine is a virtual machine dedicated to some departments, such as a virtual machine used by a finance department, a virtual machine used by a human resources department, or a virtual machine used by a sales department. Department-level virtual machines run custom-developed business systems in general. In this case, a financial department example shows that the Financial department virtual machine administrator has full control of the virtual machine in the department, and that no one in the other department can access the financial department's virtual machines without explicit authorization. Departmental level management is divided into 2 sections, defining default scopes and departmental scopes.
