How to manually recover an unsaved Excel workbook

In Excel2010, users can manually recover unsaved workbooks in the following three ways:

Method One, on the File tab, click the Info tab and click the Manage Versions button on the left side of its interface, as shown in the figure:

Select the Recover unsaved Workbook command from the pop-up Drop-down menu, as shown in the figure:

Open the Open dialog box, select the workbook you want to restore in the list box in the middle, and click the Open button, as shown in the picture:

Method Two, on the File tab, click the Recently Used Files tab, in its interface, click the Redo Workbook button below the recent Location list box, as shown in the figure:

Open the Open dialog box, list all unsaved workbooks in the middle column failure box, select the workbook you want to restore, and click the Open button to open the workbook, as shown in the figure:

Method Three, from the preceding two kinds of methods know, saved workbooks are stored in a folder called "Unsavedflies," so users can find the folder on their computer, select and open the workbook that needs to be recovered, and search the folder directly from the user's computer, as shown in the following illustration:

Skill to nudge: Delete an unsaved workbook

If the unsaved workbook is not a user's required file, in order to reduce the storage burden on the computer, you can delete these files by clicking the Info tab in the Files tab, clicking the Manage Versions button in their interface, and selecting the Delete all unsaved Workbooks command from the pop-up drop-down menu. Click the Yes button in the open prompt to delete any unsaved workbooks, as shown in the figure:
