How to modify HP-UX system parameters

Use this section only when you need to add or modify system parameter information that was set up the first time you opened the system (see "Owner's Guide" for more information). Modifications should be made as soon as possible after the initial installation.

Log in as Superuser and type the following command:

Set_parms (1M)

/sbin/set_parms option Enter

Where option represents one of the following options:

Options		Modify or set
Hostname		System Host Name
TimeZone		Time
IP_Address		IP Address
Addl_netwrk		Other network parameters
Font_c-s		Network font Services

Any changes made in the set_parms will take effect after rebooting the system.

You can also use the SAM to add or change most of these information.
