How to modify the desktop path

To modify the desktop path, enter "regedit" in "start"> "run" to open the Registry Editor. Then, in the "file" drop-down menu
The "Export" function of back up the registry, just in case, then open in the left window in sequence:

In the window on the right, the "name" you see represents the special folders, and "data" is the default storage path corresponding to them.
Modify the default path to move your Desktop Folder.

Here, "User name" is the name of the current User. After learning about the corresponding folder, you can change the corresponding path as needed. (Do not change it here. It's just a bit too busy. You can change the storage path by modifying "data.
Double-click the name to be modified, fill in the complete path you want to change in the "Edit string" value data "pop-up, and press" OK. If you do not need it, right-click the window on the right and select the "string value" command in the "new" menu. Add a string value for the Shell folder corresponding to the preceding table.
In the above folder, there is no outlook Address Book or mail storage path, which are under the primary key of the address book path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ WAB \ WAB4 \ Wab File Name, respectively, change the "default" key value to the path you need. Mail storage path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Identities \ {8150FA22-A51C-4993-8A96-DC4B9A6B4C55} \ Software \ Microsoft \ Outlook Express \ 5.0, change the "Store Root" key value to the path you need.
Finally, do not forget to export and save the modified registry so that you can import the Registry directly after reinstalling the system without having to modify it again. Note: After the PATH value of the folder is modified, the files in the original folder are not moved to the new folder. In this way, only the pointing of the folder is changed.
