One, the simple modification method

The reader can right-click on the Network Neighborhood icon on the desktop and choose Properties. In the Pop-up Network Connections dialog box, right-click the local Area Connection icon, select Properties, pop up a dialog box for local Area Connection properties, click Configure, select Advanced, and select Properties on the left column. In "Network Address" (in fact, not all of the network card, the description of physical addresses are used "network addressing", such as Intel's network card will be "locally administered address" to describe, as long as the right column box can find "Value" this option, and then select the right Column box "value" in the above single option (not "does not exist"), you can enter the box in the right to change the NIC MAC address, in the form of "000b6af6f4f9." Click on the "OK" button and the modification is complete.

However, there are some network cards do not have this option, do not worry, you can first update the driver of the network card to try, under normal circumstances, updated drivers will appear after this option. However, there are special circumstances, no matter how the modification has not this option, then how to do? Then look down, the following method can be said to be omnipotent!

Second, the Registration form modification method

Step 1th, click Start, select Run, and type "regedit" to bring up the registry.

The 2nd step, in hkey_local_machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrolclass{4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}000, 0001, 0002 Wait for the primary key, look for DriverDesc, the description of the network card to be modified, such as Intel's network card will be described as "Intel (R) pro/100+ Management Adapter", 3Com network card will be described as "3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI for Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX) "and so on.

Note: The location of the options mentioned above regarding the NIC description is related to the network card itself and the operating system. Different network cards may appear under different primary keys, and the same network card with different versions of the operating system (such as OEM version, vol or VLK, etc.) will also appear in different locations. The task of this step is to find the primary key that contains the network card description.

The 3rd step, select the primary key found in the second step, add a string in the right column, named "Network Address", whose value is set to change to the Mac, in the form of "000b6af6f4f9".

Note: To this step, the task of modifying the physical address of the network card can be said to be completed, some network cards need to restart the following to normal work, and some just a little time "reaction". The next steps are for the convenience of modifying the physical address later, and if the reader no longer needs to be modified again, it can stop here.

Step 4th, add a primary key named "NetworkAddress" under the "first selected primary key" Ndiparams, which will typically have a "(default)" String in the right column box, setting its value to the MAC address that you want to modify eventually, in the form of " 000b6af6f4f9 ". If this string is not available, readers can add this string themselves.

Note: This step is to set an initial MAC address for the NIC.

Step 5th, under the primary key of "networkaddress", continue to add a string named "Paramdesc" that specifies the description of the "networkaddress" primary key, and its value can be named, such as "Network Address", This way in the advanced properties of the network card will appear in the "Network Address" option, is just added in the registry of the new item "NetworkAddress", as long as the changes in this MAC addresses can be.

Step 6th, continue to add a string named "Optional" under the primary key of "networkaddress" with the value set to "1", then the "Do not exist" option appears on the right when you select the "Network Address" item in the advanced properties of the network card.

The 7th step is to restart the computer (not necessarily reboot, but depending on the requirements of the different network adapters, however, there is no error in restarting.) To find the advanced option in the first way, you can see that the "Network address" option already appears in the properties bar, and readers can now use it to directly modify MAC addresses or restore their original addresses.
