SQLServer2005 and later versions provide a database image monitor, but the method for enabling it is quite special. With the graphic interface, the maintenance difficulty and cost of the SQLServer database image are greatly reduced.
1. First, open SMS and right-click on any database to start the database image monitor.
2. Click "register Image Database" and select the Instance name of the image database from the server instance drop-down menu. If not, click "Connect" and set the name in the "link to server" window, as shown in:

4. Click the warning tab to set the warning threshold, as shown in:
