Doaj ( http://www.doaj.com ) is a directory retrieval system for open access journals created and maintained by the University Library of Lund (Lund), Sweden. The system is designed to cover all disciplines, free, full-text, quality-controlled scientific and academic journals in all languages. Doaj officially released in May 2003, as of April 19, 2007, a total of 2642 open access journals were included in 131,089 papers covering agriculture and food science, biological and life sciences, chemistry, natural sciences, engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences, medicine, mathematics and statistics, 17 subjects, including physics and astronomy.

L Open J-gate provides free search and full-text links based on open access journals. It was created by Informatics (India) Ltd in 2006 and began to provide services. Its main purpose is to ensure free and unrestricted access to journals and related literature in the academic and research fields of the reader.
The main features of the Open j-gate are:
1. The number of resources is large. Open J-gate systematically collects about 3720 journals worldwide (currently up to 3741), including schools, research institutes and industry journals. Over 1500 academic journals are peer-reviewed (peer-reviewed). is currently the world's largest open access journal portal.
2. Update in a timely manner. Open J-gate is updated daily. More than 300,000 new articles are collected each year and provide full-text search.

In different search methods, users can search by publication name, author, abstract, keywords, address/organization, etc. The search results are arranged in terms of relevance.
4. Provide periodical "catalogue" browsing. Through this browsing, users can learn the content information of the corresponding periodicals.
5. Provide the user feedback channel. Users can use feedback to make suggestions and comments.
